The FAD (Foundation of Dramatic Arts), a foundation under public law, was created thanks to the determination of the cantonal and municipal authorities. Its statute was adopted on 28 March 1979 by the Municipal Council of the City of Geneva and on 14 March 1980 by Geneva’s parliament. It aims to ensure the central management of La Comédie de Genève and Poche/GVE as well as to provide an interface between the authorities and the needs of the two theatres.
