Revise your classics with Molière 2/2

Cie Les Fondateurs reinterpret two plays by Molière at La Comédie: Dom Juan and Tartuffe. They are known for their very “arte povera” approach to theatre, creating live sets with bits of string and cardboard – an approach that suits Molière, whose texts they have produced in their entirety.
Does Dom Juan need introducing? The seducer who defies God in a world of men where women find unexpected strategies to exist…
Both plays will be performed one after the other during two special nights, on Sat 29 Feb and Sun 8 Mar at 16:00.
“Two plays by Molière, one after the other. We‘re revising our classics with Les Fondateurs who succeed in being both respectful of and entirely free from the text. We’d seen Dom Juan, a sort of ‘dramatic road movie’, as they call it. We liked their funny and innovative take on the play which they addressed with their own spirit and vision of space, and their unique approach to characters. We asked them to continue on this project with another classic text. They chose Tartuffe. We suggested they perform both plays alternately or even both on the same day. They said yes!” NKDM
This show is accessible to blind and visually impaired people: an audio-description of the show will be provided by Dire Pour Voir on Friday 6 March at 20.00 and on Sunday 8 March at 16:00.
