The multicultural and multilingual Comédie!

The Comédie de Genève, a reflection of the city’s multiculturalism. Several of this season’s performances will be played in various languages: English, Italian & Portuguese. With subtitles in French & English, the Comédie opens its doors to the international community of Geneva.

The Comédie’s new website is now in both French and English. The programme of the new season is available now.

Le présent qui déborde is an odyssey. Not only Homer’s Odyssey, but the odyssey of the women, men and children who have been forced to cross numerous frontiers in order to find a safe place to live and start their lives over again.

at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM)
Director Alain Platel and composer Fabrizio Cassol collaborate in this unique evening inspired by Mozart’s burial hymm. With 14 musicians and singers from across the globe, Platel creates a moving ceremony of mourning alongside a celebration of life using popular African rhythms, jazz and opera.
